We've been having a real problem lately with some troublesome cans loitering about on a fence near our office. Whenever we walk by, they seem to be mocking us, especially the Campbell's. Smug little soup. So we thought we would teach them a lesson by learning how to fire a gun with maximum accuracy and picking them off from a distance. We tried throwing rocks, but 25 yards is considerably farther than saying it might lead you to believe.

You can watch all the movies you want and pretend you're a gangsta from the comfort of your suburban living room, but until you actually handle a gun, you can't understand what it's like to shoot one. So head on over to National Shooting Sports Foundation's WhereToShoot.org, which claims to have North America's most comprehensive directory of shooting ranges.

National Shooting Sports Foundation also runs its own YouTube channel, where you will note that not a single person teacups their pistol like in the movies, or holds a gun to the side:

Now that you've learned to shoot, it helps to imagine a specific scenario for motivation to keep practicing. With even the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention acknowledging the possibility of zombie apocalypse ( you should be ready to fire upon zombies at a moment's notice.
