Did you miss your neighborhood billionaire’s masquerade ball this year? Along with the opportunity to wear your half jester mask? No need to fret.

Just head over to Venice for Carnevale! This extravaganza of a festival traces its origins to the year 1162. After a bit of a hiatus, the modern Carnevale began in 1979, and draws approximately three million visitors annually. This two week festival is a prelude to the Christian celebration of Lent, so it concludes on the Fat Tuesday, before Ash Wednesday - the first day of lent. As if you care. The Carnevale has been dubbed the world’s most delicious festival, as it entices its guests with amazing art, succulent food, and exquisite wine. Which we’re sure you DO care about.

The true highlight of the festival is unquestionably the masks though. Venetian masks have a rich history and a depth of meaning that is worth understanding before you attend. “Find Link XXX”
